We offer members a Foreign Exchange service at every counter in our Tralee, Castleisland, Killorglin and Ballyduff Branches. This service is available through “Fexco Ireland”, allowing us to buy and sell most foreign currencies. Please note, members MUST pre-order foreign exchange by clicking here https://www.fexcocurrency.com/ . Simply, select Cara Credit Union and the Branch from the drop down menu. You will receive confirmation when it is ready for collection. After receipt of notification, we will reserve your order for 2 working days as per Fexco terms and conditions, after which time it will be returned to Fexco.
Major currencies (GBP and US Dollar) orders are usually available for collection within 1-2 working day. Other currencies may need to be ordered and should be available for collection within 3-4 working days. If you have concerns that your order will not arrive in time please contact our the Fexco Customer Services department on 1890 253 411 (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00) for confirmation.
We can also buy back most foreign bank notes on your return. (Please note there may be some notes we are unable to return)
Photographic I.D. is required for all Foreign Exchange transactions (a current driving licence, a current passport or other suitable form of photographic ID).
For transactions over €2,500 (euros) proof of your address is required (dated in the last 3 months a utility bill, government letter or bank statement).

We offer an Banking Kiosk facility in our Tralee office only.
Lodgements: Lodgements are automatically credited to your Shares, Loan and/or Access Account and/or Current Account. These machines accept cash and cheques. They do not accept coin. Once a transaction is made, the member will receive a receipt.
Withdrawals: Once you are registered for CU Online+ you can withdraw from your Shares and/or Access Account and/or Current Account.
You can view your Account Balance and recent transactions online by registering for CU Online Banking. Click here to register.
